A couple of weeks ago my son and I hear a chain saw and a big tree falling. So he says we should take a walk and see what's going on.we get close and it looks like my neighbor Eric has dropped a tree and is cutting it up ok, no prob.
3 days later I hear a wood chipper running and I know Eric isn't, home.so I take a walk to see . And here is a tree crew ,not at Eric,s house but the guy next to him. And they,re blowing wood chips over the wall onto my property! So I ask the crew leader what the f@ck? And he,s all apologetic, says the home owner told them to. We,ll clean them up he says, well that didn't, happen! They packed up and screwed. Should I just dump them back over the wall or dump them on his front porch? Really pisses me off ,if he,d have asked I,d say no prob. But that bridge has burned.

can you just man up and go talk to your neighbor? or do you need to retaliate based on what some shady tree guy told you?

Tag numbers ? Number of tree company ? Start there. Only YOU have the right to let them blow the mulch on your property.

I'd use it in my garden and chicken pens but I'm not in Mass_ahchoo-sets. Is the mulch frozen yet ? :)

Yeah i,ve thought about approaching the guy but that usually ends up with somebody on the reception end of a black eye , and me in the shits again. Maybe posted signs all along his back yard will get the point across.

So you can't go civilly ask your neighbor what happened without getting into a physical fight? If so, then maybe you're the issue?......

I can partially understand if it's a neighbor that's unreasonable. I have one like that at my grandfather's property. The guy just irks me so I put on my outside sarcastic voice and he usually goes away.

This guy read my mind.

Just throw them back over the fence and be done. Or use them as mulch.

The tree chipper guy lied when he said they would clean up the chips and didn't.

Knowing that, do you really believe him that the homeowner told them to send the chips to your side of the wall? If it were me I'd give the neighbor the benefit of the doubt and at least explain to him what happened, not some chicken $h!t passive/aggressive **** like throwing them back over the wall.

My college roommate was from Winchendon. I think he is now in town politics. We graduated in 2000. It's such a small border town I am shocked to see someone from there.

Carry on

If you can use it, just get over it.
Will it hurt any thing where it is?
Years ago, we got snowed in and the neighbor hired a back hoe to come scoop out the snow to open up his drive way, The operator was dumping the snow onto my property, My big thing was that he was crushing my woven fence wire that kept the horses in.

I had somebody come dump a bunch of shingles (presumably from a replaced roof) on my land once. If I'd had been there, I would have let them get them all dumped, (which I'm sure they did by hand) and then stop them just before they got back in the truck and made them load them all back up.

Dump them over the wall. If the home owner doesn’t like it, have them take it up with the tree crew.

I don't think wood chips is worth getting the police called on you if things got physical.

Contractors have been known to take advantage of a situation. If you have always gotten along with this neighbor I would talk to him.

Yes, we North Carolinians have the same problem with the "Yankees" moving down here and throwing their money, attitudes and opinions around...

I would just ask if he knew what was up with all of the wood chips being thrown over the fence and explain what you were told...

Surely you talk to your neighbour and offer him the opportunity to put things right? Better yet get him to pay you to clean up and then use the chips as mulch! Cleaning up and throwing it over the fence sounds like work for no pay.

Look at the facts. Chips were blown over your wall and the guy told you he was told to do it but would clean it up. The only proven fact is he blew the chips on your land. Maybe the chipper guy was upset with his client and decided to get him in trouble. Put the shoe on the other foot, if one of your workers would do this, wouldn't you hope someone would talk to you first? Go talk to your neighbor, blame it all on the chip guy and see what he has to say. If he offers to clean it up, he probably is innocent, if he says not my problem, then you know something else is up. You can always handle things but first do some investigation.

Yes on suggestion #1. No on #2. Never use wood chips from a felled trees as mulch, especially around your house or foundation. You're just BEGGING for termites to move in with you...

Let your neighbour know that his woodchips are ready to be picked up.
He or his tree guy can come do it...either way...as long as they're picked up no probs.

my god, go say hi to your neighbor, tell him what happened, and maybe he'll have the tree comp. come back and pick up the mess.

the fact that you've lived there that long and don't know your neighbors, :dunno:

Go over ring said neighbors door bell and when he answers punch him square in the mouth before he gets a word out. Then tell him what happened and let him explain while spitting teeth out. That will teach him!:lol_hitti

Seriously just go over and talk to him and let him know you are not OK with what happened.

Exactly my thoughts, because this is exactly how I handle this stuff. You'll most likely at least get it cleaned up whether your neighbor meant it or not, because he'll be busted if he did say that to the tree guy ,when you talk to him and won't have much choice, unless he's a giant bag of douche, then he will give you a bunch of **** and let you know how entitled he is...
