just an update.....I ordered these just because it was only $15,not that I needed them, they arrived quickly and are all USA made. We have lots and lots of old iron at work, I can imagine someday they'll get used.

You know, we should really create a sub-forum here on GJ for Hot Deals...

They were originally made for loosening or tightening the drag link in a steering system used on older trucks, I can think of lots of older equipment and trucks that have some kind of fastener that these will be useful on. Especially John Deere iron.

Ok makes sense why I found a few at the farm. Had no clue why they were.

Seems like it'd be good for the slotted screws on some sterndrives. They are quite large and none of my bit sockets are big enough.

sacO2 yes I realize there is a "Hot Deals" forum I read it daily I also try to help my fellow GJer by trying to show new members or older members who don't read the "Deals " daily that there may be a good buy available to them that needs to be acted on quickly , sorry if that ruffles your feathers.

$10 after points and free shipping, I can't complain.

No quite sure why I got free shipping, nor do I understand why I could only redeem my surprise points by logging into SYW.com and finding the item there versus craftsman.com but it worked out.
