Let me start by saying this is a great site and what better place to ask than those that use there shop/garage.

My question is for those that have had the plastic snap in flooring for a year or longer have you noticed any mold growth? I would think that water is going to get below the seems and build bacteria.
I would think that these floors are not removed on occasion to clean them below.

I am well over 5 years with mine and NO mold, I hose and scrub the floor twice a year wether it needs it or not and my garage has been flooded twice in those 5 years, its fun to walk on the tiles they float :)

And by the way they have drain grooves below, plenty of space for air flow.

I just don't see how you can work on it. Dragging a jack over it.....putting jack stands under the car. Nice for show garages, but working ones? expensive too, 288sq. ft. is over $1,000 plus shipping.

My dad had his down for about 10 years and he just removed it when he moved. No mold just dirty.

I've only had mine down for a couple weeks. I've only used ramps so far and they didn't leave any indents at all. My floor jack rolls okay but I havn't put any weight on it yet.
The tiles are pretty thick and very sturdy, I don't forsee any damage happening to them.

My only issue so far is that they show tire traffic very quickly.

I just couldn't get past the noise of walking on them. I would also be concerned about insects creating a home under the tiles. Mainly spiders, but I guess it depends on where you live.

I will tell you this. I had mine for about a year and was told by Racedeck that you didn't have to move out the tile and clean it and boy was it a mess under there when I pulled it all out to paint the floor.

Yeah, I was worried about the same thing...almost 6 years now and there are damaged tiles by weld splatter, a few melted ones from the plasma cutter but my jack stands have never harmed it, I had a few dimples from the engine stand and my TIG cart but I put bigger casters on them which made them roll easier and fixed the dimples.

Its fine for a working garage, YES you do have to be more careful but it works fine.
