Hello, I am another new guy here with some questions about floor epoxy. I am in the process of finishing a 26 x 30 garage for which I have more plans for than money, However I've read alot and shopped alot for a reasonably priced product to give a clean look, that is easy to maintain (sweeping, washing, etc...) I've seen a few one coat systems, mainly the DryLok E-1, and have questions regarding its durability. I've helped a friend on his, which was a two part system, and "A" don't know if I want to go through all the hassle as I will be doing this by myself, "B" Dont need a flashy/high gloss floor. My garage/shop will be mainly for wood working and cabinetry and the wifes car in the winter. Any info would be much appreciated...Thanks, Jeff

If you are going to use DryLok, I'd just leave it plain. 20% of our business is scraping off and re-doing DIY projects. Typically, its not the DIY'ers, it's the materials.

So far, no one has shown me a one-part anything that's effective on floors. I think there is a 1-part polyurea out there that I want to learn more about.

I have never heard of a single component polyurea.... iv heard of a single component polyaspartic urthane hybrid thats has good bond. You are better off using a concrete sealer. I cut my polyaspartic back 50% with acetone and put a single coat on diamond ground concrete.... damn is all i have to say, damn. Talk about never peeling off the substrate... Easy to clean anything off of it. My 2 cents

The DryLok E-1 is a garage floor (epoxy?) coating. It says it's an epoxy that applies like paint. Just thought I'd ask for comments. My last garage had nothing on it and stained very easily and was sort of a pain to clean up. I've seen a couple reviews about this product, but not from anyone who has actully used it. I live in Vermont, There are hundreds of barn builders up here, but nobody to ask about installing garage epoxy, not without it costing me my annual salary.
