I agree with safety stands and use them with my 2 post lift mostly because I often work alone in my garage. But damn they take up lots of space when not in use. I don't have the HF Brad though.

I agree. I use 4 of them with cars and 6 with my diesel truck. I put the 4 under the legs of the lift and the extra 2 under the front frame of the truck. I like taking some of the weight of the vehicle off of the lift onto the stands.

I guess I don't see the need with my 4 post lift. My truck is 2k lbs under the certified lifts rating. The lift is as likely to fail as that HF stand IMO. If it's your time, it's your time.

my stands are from greg smith equipment and dont take up nearly the space those HF ones do. Mine are just a 1' flat round baseplate that support the upright, not a tripod. The round base also makes them easy to "spin?" across the floor when moving them.
