Hi guys.thanks for the previous input ,this leads me to next question.
My door is just under 12 wide and 8 high....my garage is 20 wide od...I used prefab trusses for speed and simplicity.
So they are not designed to hang weight of of them ...so what would best solution be to hang horizontal ceiling tracks....???

You must have provided drawings to the truss manufacturer, so I would think they would have designed the trusses to accommodate door tracks, if a door was shown on the drawings. Call the truss company to verify. If not, you’ll have to add some sort of structural members to attach the tracks to.

Garage door weight is trivial. It's strange, I guess, but this question has never come up here. If somebody had asked me, I don't suppose anybody ever built a truss building and didn't hang the tracks from them.

Are you trusses standard 2x4 construction and on standard 2ft centers? If so, join the other 10 million garages and hang the door from them. Don't forget that the end of the tracks near the wall are supported by the vertical track portion that is sitting on the concrete floor. So your trusses are only supporting 1/2 of the door's weight.

I have never seen a truss that couldn’t handle 10lbs/ft2 dead load on the bottom chord. Most truss sheets even state that unless built heavier.
Imagine doing pull-ups from your truss. Two or three people will outweigh your door and the truss will handle that, especially at only a 20’ span.
