One shop Out, One new shop Build

Well I finally sold my little work shop and got it moved. Here are some pictures of the move and the start of the new shop. I don't know where there build pictures for the carport is so I might post them later.

Finally got the concrete poured today. Sorry these are out of order.

All of this so I can have a nice place to work on my truck and other things.

Looks like the "addition" is going to add a significant amount of space. Be interested in seeing how you integrate the new with the old. From the looks of your old shop it will not be an ordinary structure when you are done.

Well it is "L" shaped as you can see. I plan to continue the gable back. That section is 14wX12. The longest part is 16wX26 that will be a shed roof off of the gable roof, with a 14X8 Garage Door. I built the carport about 2 years ago and decided I needed something on the ground. I built that little shop as well. Hated to see it go, but it was time to get serious.

Sorry, no real plans. Just flying by the seat of my pants really. Well I guess the only real plan is to keep it in tune with the house. Make something that is somewhat period to the house (built 1898) without over taking it. I explained a little better in the posts before. Hope it helps.

Dad and I did some framing this weekend. When you do this for a living, you don't get much time to do your own stuff. We mainly just farted around for most of the day and this is what we did. It was 106F and motivation was low. Besides that everyone stopped to see what we were doing and wanted to talk. Have you ever noticed that? When ever there's work being done, all the men in the neighborhood want to stop by just to tell you that you're doing it wrong, HA!
