I'm mostly convinced that the only full size lift that would fit in my garage would me a Mohawk A7 due to width problems. It shows a range from 105 to 125. I'm not sure exactly what gets wider or narrower but I can't afford it anyway.

The MaxJax is 105" wide so it should be fine....my question is.....what is really the main disadvantage of having a lift that only goes to 48"? Will I go crazy getting out and under? I'm 6'6" so I'll have to slump some even under a full height. It seems like this MaxJax thing has caught fire.

Look at it this way, you can either stand and work or sit and work. That's pretty much the only difference (beside the fact that the MJ is portable and for many that's huge). I have no problem wheeling around on my little stool under the car. However, I'm 5'10'" not 6'6". That said, I think you'd do fine if you put together a comfortable reclining seat on a dolly at ground level.

I haven't finished my install, but what was said above, the portability was biggest reason for my buying the Max Jaxx. I just couldn't have something sitting there and having to drive in and around the posts. My wife's car and my Camaro would have to navigate the posts each time one or the other is used. I too am 5'10" and sitting on my stool and rolling around is no big deal.
