I posted my Challenger project and update it once in a while and always wonder who else is working on something in their garage that would be of interest to all. If you have a project - or regularly work on or upgrade something, why not start a thread on it. I for one would love to see it!

My Cadillac powered 65 Impala wagon is center stage right now.Headers are
done and just finishing up patching a couple soft spots in the floor.Next is
fabbing up the rest of the exhaust and getting a driveshaft built.

the frame has some surface rust (only), and there are a couple of panels that need replacement (the bottom of what would be the rear wheel wheels is cancerous), but the old dear is pretty solid -- I'll replace the cancer, and paint her up.

Sounds great to me. I understand, you are making it solid enough to enjoy driving, but no trailer queen. My dad has a 30 coupe that he never finished re-doing in much the same manner that will be coming my way down the line.

If you are not an A expert (I know a bit, but no expert here) you might want to look closely at getting a subscription to the Model A Ford Club of America's publication "The Restorer" some usefull info there, and a good many resources to be found in their bi monthy mag. I would really like to hear from you as you go along with this project, don't hesitate to PM me as you can to share the latest regarding your project. Thank you for sharing.

Still running that "total loss" oiling system I see.
More of the older car4s should have done that, it would've saved us from replacing so many floor pans today...................

Spent the weekend getting some of the odds and ends done on my Challenger restoration. Being near X-mas, I had to get some kids stuff done too (like building a skating rink in the yard...). After getting some plastic repair tips from Len at Autobodystore.com, I started the repairs on the door panels and also cut the carpet to fit. Next weekend I'll be able to finish both hopefully!!

The worst spot was cracked and missing a portion of the edge.

Made a pattern to cut a piece from the inside of the panel to fit on the edge.

Repaired the crack by epoxying in metal strips for extra strength...Not pretty but it'll definitely hold!

Next I'll smooth it all out with lightweight filler and texture it before paint.

My ongoing project is hiding behind the '68. It's a '66 Mustang coupe. I've been working on it since I was 16 and now I'm just a few months shy of 20. I get more work done on other people's projects than my own. Since I've started my '66, I've done a '66 for someone else, all the bodywork on a '98 Z28, and I'm almost done with a '70 Mach 1. Next is some work on a '69 Barracuda.

How are you cooling that motor? I don't see any rad fans, and there doesn't look to be much room for them.

You are correct, there isn't any room behind the radiator but I do have two 12" electric pusher fans in front of the radiator. Cools it quite nicely thank you.

I have a couple of Projects on the go at present.

I did have a post / topic on this one 1948 F4 but the topic is now missing. Any way it is nearing completion. Front section and doors running boards are in the paint shop. 1948 Ford Cab with modified Peterbuilt sleeper 6BT Cummins, C6 Auto, US Gear overdrive with LPG (Propane) boost, all set up on a Ford F-350 Chassis.

This was my works truck 1969 4x4 International. It was an ex Fire Truck and I converted it to a tray truck some years ago. It had 16000 miles on the odometer when I purchased it at Auction and had been rebuilt 3 times during its life as a Fire truck so is in very good order. It is now set up as dual fuel petrol ( gas ) LPG ( propane ). Registration has become to expensive so it is undergoing a partial restoration.

Currently painting the wheels ( all six ) getting them sand blasted primed and painted and fitting new tyres.

Truck will go over to a permit scheme early in 2009 saving me about $800-00AU a year in registration. Ongoing plans are to tidy up the body work and interior trim, that is after I complete the 48 truck.

As I scored an incredible job that is only 3 days a week, I am now off (with pay!) until Jan 3rd. So I'll be in the shop - starting now - working on finalizing the 56 Chevrolet and delivering it, tearing down my 390FE to get the block machined, measuring the original flathead for my 46 Merc truck before machining and also building a wall-closet ironing board for Mrs E.....

This hilarious. I just realised Scottsdale10 bumped a thread I started nearly 4 years ago and I was the first to reply after he did so....when I saw UncleBuck I thought WTF?!?!

Oh well, now there's a few threads like this going on - it's all good!

As I was saying, I have 10 days to get a bunch done. Today

I tore down a 390Fe block I got and plan to add a turbo (or 2) for my 67 Galaxie...

Recently finished buttoning up a bunch of different things. Most noticeably the manual transmission conversion (TKO600) and a lot of dressing up on the engine bay. Next up is interior... or brakes... or wheels.

2000 ZX12R. Adding a turbo and dry nitrous system.This has been an ongoing project for a couple years. Two layoffs, a wedding, wife going back to college and other life experiences/issues got in the way. I'm trying to finish it by April this coming year (2012).

Still slowly working on getting my 67 chevy long fleet back on the road, work/money, then kids and now a house move have all delayed it.

Done a bunch of work over the years,

new rockers/kick panels/floor repairs.

most recently changed the intake manifold from stock to a performer eps, high torque starter, new engine loom, other bits and pieces including some paint on the engine, now needs a new waterpump as the one I cleaned and painted started leaking, thats sat in a box waiting on paint. I have a power brake setup to go on and then need to go through the brakes front to back and sort out some wiring gremlins. I have a set of polished micky T valve covers and billet breathers to go on too.

Outside I added a camper shell to keep the bed dry and to sleep in at car shows.
