My local Costco has Feit LEDs on sale every now and then. I usually pickup 60w equivalent A19 for lamps, porch lights, etc. Occasionally will use a few 100W equiv. Feits have mixed reviews on longevity and would prefer to buy a more reliable brand, if possible. Also want to replace about 15 BR20/30 in basement recessed housings. Looking for recommendations as to brands and sellers to consider. 1000bulbs.com seems to have a good rep but rather gain the experience from GJ members. Thanks for your help, as always

This doesn't answer your concern directly but Costco/Feit LED bulbs have performed fine for me. I've been using LED retrofit screw-on kits in the recess cans and Costco has them 2/box and they have also been fine. Lot of the LED bulbs and retrofit kits are imported.

I also bought the retrofit kits for my living room cans. Going on 3 yrs now and other than a slight buzzing, no other issues. Light seems as bright and consistent as the day I installed them. I also like the fact that, since they are a sealed design, no heat loss through the openings in the cans like before. Or bug migration

Agreed with limiting the drafts....with my year-long stink bug problem the sealed LED does keep them in the attic as well as the furry visitors.

I’ve been exclusively buying Philips for the past 5 or so years and have only had one of prob 50 stop working and it was in a old garage door opener and I read that opener kills bulbs so...

Usually on Amazon. Hope depot used to sell them too.

IMHO, Costco attempts to sell pretty good stuff. Might not be premium grade, but still good.

Within the constraints of the market I have found them to deliver pretty good products. I am not going to say that they have the best stuff, but if IMHO, you have a valid complaint, they will honestly try to make it right.

Agree completely. I never had any issue with Costco or their products. And, the one or two occasions we needed to return something, it was as painless as can be. The ONLY retailer we've used that I can say that about.

I have done a good bit of business with 1000bulbs. They are not always the cheapest, but they have great service and good sales people ime.

I had an order that was pretty messed up via Fedex ground and they made it right and then some

Good to know the company provided great service. Worth a few bucks more, IMO.

When we had our house built I went and bought a case of the Phillips A19 bulbs and we also bought Phillips BR30s all at home depot. There is only 1 Incandescent lightbulb in our entire house and shop and it is in the Master Shower in a Light/Exhaust Fan combo. They have been in place for 3 1/2 years now and I have replaced 2 A19 bulbs that started to flicker. I have not had to replace any of the BR60s and they are used daily.
