as i do not currently have a matco dealer where i work i have started to order online ...
on 2/17/11 i order a shelf for my rollcart , after 24 hrs it says that the order is being processed
well today i call matco customer service asking about the order i have placed since it has been 12 days with no package arriving at the house i am starting to get curious
i am told that my part is on back order until the 7th
so i said thank you i will wait .
so the question is .... why the back order ? it is just a shelf , is there a steel shortage ?
and why do they not tell you this when you place an order?
i know i am being picky but come on it is just a shelf , is everybody buying these all up ?
honestly if i does not ship by the 7th i will ask for a refund , i did not place this order only to wait 3 weeks to get an item shipped ....
if item is not in stock fine just let me know WHEN i order it not almost 2 wks later
i can really feel for the tool truck / route driver trying to make a living
cause when you have to tell customers that what they want is on back order it can be very easy for the customer to decline purchase if they have to wait weeks to get item
i know if i buy something i expect it right then OR if not on truck then the following week
