1. Decal roller to get the air bubbles out of the carbon fiber veneer stickers.

2. Hacksaw to cut back the 1.5 inch tailpipe.

3. #2 Philips screwdriver to tighten the clamp that secures the oversize exhaust tip to aforementioned tailpipe.

5/6. Drill and bit to make holes throughout the exhaust system so accelerations are as loud and obnoxious as possible.

7. Tin snips to cut back the bodywork that is forever getting dragged over speedbumps and parking lot entries.

Hmmmm. Assuming duct tape and coat hangers don't count, I guess you only would need 7..

I hate those damn things, I just threw away one because they are junk....Mine were cheapie's though...

honestly 7-19 mm set of sockets, ratchet, extensions, and some screwdrivers, more than ten, but oh well. This will cover almost anything you would do if you are worried about only buying ten tools.

A cell phone is all you need.
When it decides to give, call a tow truck and have it towed to your place where all of your tools are.

Short of a cell phone...
10mm, 12mm, 14mm gearwrench
Flat head, philips
Mid sized vise-grip
yeah... I own a Honda too.

Did just that a few years back..........still cost $300, over the CAA maximum mileage range.

Also have a key to another car for when it gets really hot and the main relay decides to go on vacation.

10,12,14,17 mm gear wrench
water pump pliers, pry bar, screwdriver or 2, gallon of gas and a book of matches
last 2 are optional!
just kidding about the last 2, the tools should do most of what you need

I would have the 5 most common socket sizes for your car, in 3/8" drive.
a ratchet, 3" and 6" extentions
a set of channellock pliars
1/4" screwdriver bits, in the most common sizes and types you need
1/4" bit driver handle
an adjustable wrench(2 sizes, a small 6" one and a 10" one
medium vice grip pliar
Dont forget to carry the right socket/breaker bar combo or lug nut wrench for your car!

I dont know much about your car, but a set of fuses, some bulbs, duct tape, a cuple hose clamps, some silicone sealer, zip ties and a flashlight could be a Huge help!

I know it's more than 10, but i like to be prepaired for anything.

I carry a full set of metric and inch wrenches up to 19mm, 3/4", socket set in 1/4" and 3/8", screwdriver and bits, ratchets, extentions, 3/8" ujoint, slip joint pliars, needlenose and wire cutters. flashlights, tape, gloves, hoseclamps, etc.
and i;ve used them all. I was the only person at at an FFA dinner that had any tools, used most of them trying to fix this girls car that broke down. Spent 2 hours troubleshooting in a the parkinglot.

AAA has a 200mi tow policy, its pretty nice. They also compensate you pretty well (up to $1500?) if you are stranded over 100mi from your starting point.

My car has a tool kit with some basics. In addition I have duct tape, zip ties, some various bolts and screws - couple of bungees a leatherman, and a couple of LED emergency flashers.

In my suburban I carry much more.

I'm not sure on just 10! I have a full set of standard/metric 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 sockets, wrenches 8-19mm and 1/4 to 7/8", 6 and 10" adjustable wrench, 10" pipe wrench, screwdriver set, dikes, needlenose, slip joint, adjustable and linesman pliers, a hf dmm, a 16oz ballpeen and an 18" pry bar then I also have a double sided organizer with wiring terminals on one side and a set of thomas and betts strimper crimpers and zip ties and a test light on the other side. I've just been leaving my hf alum floor jack and a set of 4 ton jackstands in the trunk just to help speed things along! Also keep a cheap torque wrench in there I've tested it and its close enough for lugnuts otherwise I'd grossly overtorque em with my 25" breaker bar

Not a really good question so you won't get many good answers. Buy a small Craftsman tool kit for about 100 dollars and throw it in the back.

Small Japanese car? 1/4" socket set + handle + ratchet. For the non hex-cap stuff, whatever screwdrivers it uses (Phillips? Slotted?). Something for the lug nuts just in case. A 10x13 ring spanner works very well on Euro cars, figure out what Honda used and get one. Bring what you're comfortable losing and what you're comfortable doing. No sense in bringing an air compressor if you're not going to use it on the side of the road.

As for AAA, I have their Plus card which covers up to 100mi. I got stranded a few years ago relatively close to home (maybe 10mi), and they couldn't find a tow truck. AAA told me they'd cover what they would ordinarily pay the tow company (so maybe $50 vs $100 or so that I'd have to pay for a private tow).
