Open barrel connector crimper

Rewiring my project car, and the kit I bought needs to have a bunch of the open barrel connectors (F crimps, whatever you want to call them). I was going to buy this tool from a VW site, but it seems like it's just a generic tool. Can anyone recommend me one that is similar and may cost less?

That one is about average in cost, you aren't going to find a ratcheting crimper much cheaper, get a set of insulated terminal dies as well. I like the Ideal tool, you can get crimpers for coax, insulated, non insulated, telco, etc. Most of the die sets are about $28 iirc.

I have the Blue Point one. I do a lot of 12v electronic work and have used many different brands but it has been a life saver. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I also ordered an extra "pliers" as I got the kit with the different dies and for $35 dollars more not having to change out my most used is more than worth it.

Hey, thanks USD! Buying that one and the jaw set I want would be cheaper than that VW one, plus I wouldn't have to worry about shipping, and it's a brand I only hear good things about! I'll call up the Snap On guy around here and see. I always said I would never by a tool from a truck, but this is an offer I can't pass up!
Quick question, though, I see they have two for open barrel. One says 10-20 and the other says D Sub. Pretty sure I need the 10-20 one, but what's the D-Sub one for?

Edit after looking at it again. I am not positive. I will have to double check the ones I have. I know there is one set that I dont see myself using.

D-sub is for computer style connectors like you'd find in a Weatherpack or Deutch connection. Not something you'll need in day-to-day use for the average person.
