So I was at a garage sale this weekend where the seller had a f71A 3/8 ratchet for sale, price was right at $10. However, it was locked up and looked like someone had put a huge cheater on it at some point and bent the handle maybe 30*

Is this worth pursuing further? I know I could rebuild the ratchet head..probably. But straightening the handle has me nervous. I cant justify sending it back to SO as its been obviously abused, and I am way to young to have bought it new, and did I mention it was abused? I'd be worried about trashing the chrome or breaking it by heating and rebending the handle.

Im not hurting for a decent ratchet as my goto is a SO 936, but having two good ratchets would let me further relegate my cman's to trunk box duty...

Wondering what the population would do.

I'd skip it and wait for a working used one. If the handle wasn't bent I would say to go for it.
