hey there, first post to the forum and im having my excavator coming out soon to clear a 1/2 acre of woods, build a pad and culvert for a new driveway to the eventual barn. i will attempt to add pictures of my plans for reference. But it will be a 36x56x16 post frame. material list includes 4ft oc trusses, all insulated doors, ceiling steel, r-60 for ceiling, 6" batts for walls. basically everything except concrete and wall osb. seem like a decent price? also, put 6 mil poly behind ceiling steel? im also throwing around the idea of having someone come out to set poles and trusses. ill do the rest..that something yall recommend and/or have an idea what it might cost for someone to come do that? thanks for any info. p.s. i will be throwing roughly 20k cash down and financing the rest, how do you recommend doing that? personal loan?

Welcome to the forum. Lots of factors to account for but in a nutshell I would say yes, that price seems reasonable. Is it from Menards? (11% rebate) I know a couple people who have the Menards post frame kits and they have been very happy with them.

Only you can really answer if you should hire someone to set the posts or do it yourself. Do you have construction experience? Setting the posts can make or break you. Whatever you decide, good luck on the build and be sure to post your progress.

yeah its menards, im very loyal and dont really ship anywhere else lol. yes i do have some construction experience, mostly smaller things like beds, but i have rebuilt my garage and a horse barn. nothing to this magnitude. the main thing is just getting the trusses up as my skid steer wont go high enough, would have to rent a lull lift or similar. thanks for the reply!
