I have to agree. I have been looking at the KC area classifieds for a LONG time, and it is very much the same thing.
The recession has hit here, but not as hard as elsewhere. I've heard it said, we average a year or two behind the coasts.

I look at CL daily in Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan. Every time a truck brand combo comes up the prices are just like Wichita. No bargains here either.

Hey let's keep this thing going!

This is a timeless topic since those HF toolboxes are always on sale, and now I'm tempted to buy one since I sold my snapon box to get a vehicle to drive to the job placement office. Times are tough and chinese metal is cheap. We still make way better beer. Here's to the democratic unions!

I digress - this isn't political. The review on the HF boxes are great, so for the price of one snapon box, why not buy one for every room in the house. Heck, I could even put one in the bedroom and have more than enough room for my clothes.

Very nice boxes and a good price. Best features are probably the ball bearing drawer slides, fit and finish, and again the price.:)

My friend bought the horrible china freight tool box and after a few months the welds on the top drawer started coming apart..I would rather spend the money on a used Mac, Snap on or Matco box.

I don't think they have ball bearing slides. Nice box for the money though.

They do, They still are the best bang for the buck toolbox on the market. Much heavier built than Craftsman. I wonder just how many of these boxes HF has sold.
