That's not a bad idea really. But I myself wouldn't have a need for one since I use an air tool until I'm done with it and then the quick-disconnect is easy to make the change. But if someone needs to work with a tool and then blow stuff off while working, like using a sander, then I'd say go for it.

I tried one for a day, but couldn't get used to it on the end of the air hose. It was bulky and seemed to always be in the way...but that's just me.

For you guys that use it, did you install a short length of hose between the blow gun and the tool, or is it right at the base of your tool?

I saw one in a polaris shop that i went it to for parts one day. the shop had been plumbed with the white pvc pipe and one of these had been placed in the lowest spot to drain water. guy said this was easier for him to use than the traditional petcocks.:headscrat

seems like a good thing to have attached to a air drill or sander.:)

Seems like a good idea but there is a spring inside which would probably rust pretty quick in standing water.

i figured there had to be a downside to the set up, but i couldn't actually think of one. but yes that spring would be one. i wish now i had asked the guy how long it had been used like that, justs for s&g. :)
