It's AC only and they want way to much for it. If you really want an older unit find an idealarc or an econotig instead. Way better units that can be had for that same price range if you are patient.

That's outrageously high for an AC only unit. If you can live with AC only, pick up a used Idealarc for $100 to $100. They are better stick welders. For $300 you should be able to find an AC/DC unit. It's worth the difference. Miller is renowned for mig. Lincoln is better for stick. In my experience, Lincoln welders are also more robust.

I know the price is high but just not sure how high, as I can't really find used prices other than ebay.
I would like a Lincoln buzzbox, but this came up so just wondering. I can wait (at least that's what I tell myself!)

I like thunderbolts better than Lincoln tombstones as they have better adjustability, but yea, I wouldn't buy an AC only version of either. In fact I have never seen an AC only thunderbolt personally.

Lincoln Ideal arcs and Miller Dialarcs are a whole nother class of welder. Couldn't go wrong with either of them.
