I have exactly that mitsu in my house, and its predecessor in my last house, reliable and quiet. LG makes a good product also.
I would not sweat the details difference. If you insulated well, they will both be fine

Both this and my last cooled 30 percent more space in a much cooler environment, but never had a problem in the high nineties,

your problem will be air infiltration, humid air entering will hurt. You cannot cool until you dry

We install Mitsubishi, with out a proper load calc., it's just a guess on what size you need, to small= no cooling, to big= cooling, but improper dehumidifying

A proper load calc, like house electrical? or do you mean specific for AC. I entered the dimensions of the room into the websites calculator, which took my geographic location (temperature) into consideration. Is that adequate or do you have a forumla I should use?

Garage will not have same infiltration rate as the house. Probably less insulation too.

I represent Fujitsu. Between mitsu and lg I'd go mitsu. In my area, the contractors installing lg are always pissed when they call lg and are thrown into the "general appliance" dept rather than a dedicated HVAC service dept.

Did it ask for insulation type/r-value, how many windows/r-value, directions windows face, size and location of overhead and service doors, air changes/hour?
If so, you're probably pretty close.
