Hi all, just got done with the new floor and getting ready for paint (see first picture). Wanted to get some opinions from everyone on a few things...
The floor is grey, black, and white with a urethane gloss finish so I was thinking to do a two tone paint job with a black stripe, i.e., gray coming up the bottom from the floor about 5 feet, then a black strip about a foot wide, then white up the rest of the wall and ceiling (see second picture of the style, just different stripe color).
Apart from overall opinions on style, I was thinking first that I would put a texture on the walls and ceiling to cover up wear and tear, but now thinking that it would be pretty difficult to get a nice straight stripe on texture (high risk of bleeding through the tape lines), anyone have experience doing either? Now I'm thinking just doing texture on the ceiling... Side note that I'm having a pro come and do the drywall prep and potential texture before I paint.
Also thinking I still could do texture and maybe get a stick on stripe? I saw a guy who did a BMW garage here bought stripes and they went on with adhesive.
Lastly, was thinking to go with an eggshell or semi-gloss finish, but wanted to get feedback on that too. Thanks again for all the help!
