I was in my local true value today and saw a selection of pratt read screw and nut drivers. I like the fact that they're made in the USA and they feel pretty good in my hand. Latley I've been thinking of upgrading my screwdrivers from craftsman. How do pratt read screw and nut drivers compare to their craftsman counterparts?

I bought a ratcheting ball screwdriver set of two at Sears about 5 or 6 years ago, and it was made by Pratt-Read. Very much like the old EASYDRIVER type, but better quality. Use it daily for work, and she gets driven hard. No slips, no cracks, no problems thus far. Went on-line to try and grab a second pair for the inevitable day it finally wears out, but I can't find it anywhere.

They do make some of the craftsman screwdrivers. The ones with a PR code on them are pratt reed. The tips on the Pratt Reed ones seem to last longer than the western forge made craftsman but now days both pratt reed and western forge are both owned by ideal so there may not be much difference.
