It's clear that the Stack-on stuff isn't exactly the highest quality. But, IMHO, there is a place for differeing levels of quality.
Those who have read my garage thread (see below for a link if you haven't seen it) know I used Lista exclusively in it. I chose that line for lots of reasons, including the high-quality look and feel.
But I have a sort of "outside room" that isn't heated or cooled, and has stuff I need less often. There I wanted something that wasn't too deep (as I wanted a wide aisle), was inexpensive (as I wasn't going to see it or use it very often) and was moderately dense (that is, had both drawers and regular cabinet doors).
After some thought, I used the Stack-on Line there. Here is a pic of part of the room. The overall hight is probably 8 feet or so, and I have lots of room to store less frequently used things like propane heaters, oil filters, spare springs for the race car, spare rear-end gears for the race car, odd parts I'll only need if I throw them out, etc.
I could have afforded a more expensive setup, and considered the idea, but these seemed like a reasonable value-- more money wouldn't have yielded a better value proposition for the space and it's use.
Just another data point.
