i've got a set from about 15 years ago that I use every day and never had a problem with. I can't say about the newer stuff though. Sunex was always kind of the top of the line of the cheaper off shore stuff.

Thanks. There were some mixed reviews on Sunex Impacts when I searched, but mostly positive. There was indication of how old the sockets were in most of the threads. That is why I have asked the question again.

Very good quality vs. price. I use them everyday as well. They are the same good quality as the Craftsman impacts I have. You can't just walk to the store to replace them, (depending on where you live) but also, Northern Tool's impact sockets are right on par with these two as well. I have a COMPLETE 3/8" dr. set; pretty much every size, deep & shallow and they perform great and are perfect to this day. They're probably 3 years old and ran me about $50-60 I believe.

I have the full SAE 1/2" drive set. Other than the 24mm that came in place of my 15/16", everything is awesome. They don't get used lightly, if you know what I mean. ;)

I have the GP and they are AWESOME impact sockets. I love them, cant beat them for the price. There is no reason to replace them with a truck brand because the thickness is the same as the Matcos and Snap Ons.

I have Sunex master sets in both metric and SAE 3/8" and 1/2" drive. No problems yet. I don't use them everyday but I use them alot when I do. I like that they are laser etched and roll stamped.

I know this is a very old thread but still a very relevant question. Just acquired both metic and SAE 43 piece 1/2" master sets and the 3/8" 80 piece master set with Swivels and Torx. They are well made with CRMO, dimensionally excellent, Laser etched and roll stamped, so far I am very happy! Each came with a rebate that I am waiting to receive so as long as that go's well (as it should) I will have good things to say!

i think maybe they were implying that the OPs question is still relevant

i personally have nothing but praise for sunex impact sockets... for the price they are hard to beat... and if you got in on the rebate deal absolutely impossible to beat

I use Sunex impact sockets and have never had a problem. My brother has some that are over 10 years old so that's what made me decide to save some $ and try them, glad I did.

Was referring to OP's question, "Anyone have experience with Sunex? "

Nice to read such good reviews and praise for their quality & longevity in service work. I am not in a trade and purchased them for personal projects but still want a service grade tool. I picked up an IR 2115QTIMAX and am very pleased with that too. am looking for a new 1/2" now and am thinking about the IR 2235TIMAX. I get a lot done with the little 2115 so I want the 1/2" to be as powerful as can be.
