die grinder is quite the air hog. better off with an electric one. can pretty easily drain a 5hp with a die grinder for extended use like porting.

i considered the puma brand when i was looking for a small compressor. ive read alot of review on the northern tool brands. and what i got from it for the homeowner they are good , but if you want to abuse it everyday expect it to done in 2 years.

Man I'd buy a new vertical tank for that 325 and cut your loss on your other tank.Quincy pumps are great!

A 15 second search of CL yielded this and 300 other possibilities: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/tls/5198148783.html
"80 gallon Quincy 325 single phase horz compressor single phase operates on normal 220 v service it is in great shape and also comes with wiring still hooked up and can hear run asking $600.obo"
I like bigtime US made tools used. Sure its horizontal, but its just an example. Check DFW CL for a few weeks and you'll find 5x the compressor for the same money. It may be dirty or need a few tweeks.

If you look closely, you will see that the pump on both compressors is the same and the motors look very much alike, although the position of the reset button is different. Still, if both are basically the same compressor with different colors, buy the cheapest one, since these two have free shipping.

The pumps look very similar to an EATON pump except the pumps in the adds have horizontal ridges on the compressor body and the EATON has a smooth sided body. Maybe the pumps in the adds are a chinese knock-off of the EATON pump or the pumps are a cheaper pump made by EATON for the store compressors.

Read below a review of the Northstar compressor. It says it is the same compressor.
