About a 45 min drive for me but wondering if this grinder and stand is worth the drive and $50. Supposedly runs real well. I'm actually more interested in the stand.

I would say it's worth it. I would go look and offer $30 and see what happens.
Kind of hard to get real good idea of condition from pics but it would be a good one to restore.

Looks like a homemade stand. (that can be good or bad). Those images are nearly worthless. You better go see it in person.

WW: that stand has a pretty decent look to it. well at least the white painted part. also those old B & D grinders are hard to kill and i've got one i've used for years. the stand is probably worth all of the $50 asking price, but as Dave mentions you'd probably need to see it in person to say for sure. the grinder might just be something you can clean up and get your money back or have it to use in your shop.

good luck and get more pictures as you can to show us what you found if you go see it in person and maybe buy it.

Vintage tools are always the better way to go. That stand would cost three times as much if they built it new. The grinder isn't made in China either. Try finding a new one today not made in a communist country. Worse yet some have that variable speed knob. The B&D will last another 50 years! Grab it before someone else does!
