I am looking for ideas for how to finish out my garage bathroom. All the plumbing is roughed in the floor. I have added a picture to make it easier to explain. right now my toilet drain is 12" from the center of the drain to the stem wall of the garage. I was originally planning to build a 2x4 wall around the inside of the stem wall so my bathroom wall would be sheet rock all the way to the floor and have all my plumbing in that wall. With the toilet drain 12" from the wall I wont have room for this. Should I just leave the stem wall as my interior of the bathroom and sheet rock up from there and leave all the plumbing exposed? I am also concerned that if I were to put my plumbing inside the wall it could possibly freeze next to the concrete stem wall. If the plumbing were exposed on the interior of the bathroom this might not be an issue. Another option I though about was extending my sheet rock down to the floor and just gluing it to the stem wall. What are you thought and ideas? Thanks.
