opposite 45s on bandsaw

I’ve got some pipe to cut ...to use as a brace on an inside corner of a frame. I’m cutting this on a Horizontal bandsaw. Opposite 45s on each end of the pipe.

It’s not a problem on angle or square tube, cause the vise lines up the sides, and that cuts are indexed correctly.

Is there a method to line the pipe up so that the cuts are indexed on each end? Or just eyeball it?
Thanks

The easiest way to index them is to use a pipe centering head or a v-square. I'm headed to bed so I'll expand on it in the morning if someone else hasn't already.

I'd clamp it down and drag something square with a sharp edge down one side.
on 1st cut, make sure the scratch intersects a square block on the right.
the flip it to intersect on the left for the 2nd cut.

Probably just because I don't have any fancy things.

Use a C-clamp to hold it in a piece of angle iron. This gives you a flat surface that is your reference.

If its hrew or similar welded pipe I eyeball the weld seam. Put the seam at the top and do the same on the other end.

Vice grip clamped to tube perpendicular, torpedo leveled off back of handle.
...or piece of plate clamped onto end end with vice grip parallel and into end of tube, level, cut, move to second cut, rotate and level, do second cut.

I usually use the seam, or snap a centerline on the pipe; just eyeball it with the line on the top. As mentioned above, plenty close enough for a brace. I've done handrail returns this way and they turn out fine.
