I purchase a 45000 BTU propane heater for my 26 deepx38 longx12ceiling , 988 sq ft garage,insulated walls,ceiling,and doors,
what would the optinal location to place the heater

Based on the slim amount of information you provided, that is the best answer I can come up with.

How about telling us what kind of heater this is?
Hanging unit heater? Radiant tube? Floor standing?

Then, how about a floor plan drawing, showing door sizes and locations, major work areas, etc?

Put it away (20'+) from where you may be working normally and point it in that direction. If it's overhead in the work area, it'll be heating everywhere else except where you are.

I think the greatest source of cold air is at the garage doors. I like to blow air across the doors, so I guess perpendicular to the doors.
