I'm getting ready to install an electric heater in my garage which will hang from the ceiling. There is a big box that goes across the ceiling with ducting for the upstairs rooms in front of the place for the heater. What can I use to hang the heater from in order lower it? The electric heater is a 240 Volt forced air heater from Northern Tool + Equipment. If anyone have some pictures that would be great.

Unistrut and all thread. Bolt unistrut into your joists through the drywall. Use the fasteners [nuts] made for use in strut to go with the all thread.

Thanks, will that keep the heater from moving? Any pictures of that kind of installation?

I don't know about the one you have, but most of these type heaters have threaded boss's in the top for threaded rods as the previous poster has mentioned using.

Easiest way to explain is to go and look in some of the commercial garages or storage spaces. They wont move if done correctly.
