Options for previously sealed concrete

I think my garage floor is sealed - photos of water test below. Also oil and trans fluid clean up nicely with oil dry and don’t leave stains.

Does that confirm that it is sealed?

What are my best options for cleaning up reconditioning the sealed? I am redoing my garage and really don’t want to do epoxy.

Thanks!

Definitely looks sealed to me.... some sealants you can simply reapply a new coat when needed... acrylic sealant for example.... others may need to be ground down. No evidence left in the attic or anything of what may have been used? I would imagine it’s hard to tell without knowing what was there already. Maybe you can try a small sample section and see how it goes.... not sure if any of the company’s like legacy industrial would be willing to send you a few ounces of sample product to test with? Maybe worth calling them and asking rather than wasting $80-$100 buying a gallon.

Agree looks sealed. Generally speaking sealers can be reapplied with little prep. A good safe thing to do is rent a floor buffer and go over the floor, then wash it down, let dry.

You need to test though that your sealer ill not affect the current sealer and will work, so test!

The easiest and most reliable test IMO is to take a small amount of Xylol/Xylene and rub it into the surface in an inconspicuous location. THe vast majority of sealers in the past were Xylene based, and it will be re-emulsified for a short time if you try it....
