so i was looking online and i found a few comments on the new lid but not a good review from a welder himself. so i figured id do one.
I recently ordered my new vegaview 2.5 on cyber monday and got it yesterday. today was my first day in the shop using it.
FANTASTIC!
wow i have never used a lid that has such a clear image. iv had a miller titanium 9400 for the past 2 and a half years and this beats that lid by far. dont get me wrong the 9400 is a great helmet but for a little white boy like me my neck gets sore after a full day of welding my neck hurts. the 9400 is weighs alot more.
the 2.5 is super light. the shade 2.5 on grind mode is just awesome. see everything so clear.
one thing that coud have been imroved is and that the 9400 has is the digital display on the inside. the 9400 does also have a bit larger display, a clock, a timer and digital display for your shade and sensitivity.
the 2.5 has it all as dials on the outside with the external grind mode button. in a way i like it better because there is less to go wrong.
so all in all id take the 2.5 over any other lid i have used.
if you are in the market for a new welding helmet and arent afraid of spending the money for a quality helmet this is just an awesome lid.
