Orange IG receptacles in garage

Electric gurus,

I've got a large detached garage I'm in the process of finishing out. I really like the look of the orange isolated ground receptacles and would like to use them. No need for an isolated ground out there. This is purely for looks.

I'm just wondering, when I sell the house down the road, if I'll get into a bind with some home inspector and will end up having to replace them. Any NEC reasons for not installing IG receptacles in plastic boxes?

I'm located in southeast Texas in case that has any bearing on the matter. Thanks.

They can work, the yoke is isolated in them but I use the common ones, they really aint the "right" thing. It always looks like the installed wasn't sure what they were for and causes wonder. If it will work I use the common 5 dollar a box recepts, todays are very well made, its not a gut wrenching financial experience to add an extra or replace with a new one.
I keep a couple "better" ones with clamps around for old work where boxes can be small and don't have room foe extra nuts and pigtails.

No the yoke is not isolated on an ISOG outlet.

Only the ground pin on the outlet is isolated.

Whoops,,, yes, certainly worded that wrong. Pin isolated from yoke.

OP do you HAVE to have orange?

Or would red work?

Red is typically used to indicated generator or emergency power but they arent ISOG.

Wylie - I've seen the red and the yellow outlets but just think the orange looks better. Definitely not a "need to have" kind of thing. Just putting my stamp on the garage.

SB - I'm always worried about things that don't quite look right. I always try to about giving inspectors a reason to look closer. And your correct, it's no big deal to replace a few receptacles down the road.

You can do that but you will need to put a ground jumper wire on the yoke to the ground pin grounding screw to the grounding conductor of your romex.

Thanks for the link. I checked HD a earlier but somehow missed those. I need a gfci in the garage and most have just been focusing on that.
