Ordered a MaxJax yesterday....delayed until February????

I was so excited to be ordering a lift from MaxJax yesterday. I still am, but when I called them today to talk about shipping and delivery options (add on $160 for residential delivery) they said it was out of stock for 6-8 weeks, potentially longer. That puts us right up until February. That would be cool if they didn't have any in stock, but apparently the only thing that's holding this whole order up is the 9-gallon upright oil drain pan. That's it. They have lifts in stock, just not with the oil drain pan in the package I ordered. I asked 3 times if there was any way they could send it now, and send the drain pan later, but no. I was told things like 'package deal' and 'pay for shipping' and so on. Of course, I want the extras that come with it so I'm sort of stuck waiting. But two months? I feel like a kid who just got told Christmas is being delayed this year. Not trying to be ungrateful, but if it weren't such a big deal to be getting a lift, and I wasn't so excited about using this, it wouldn't be so frustrating. I guess I just needed to vent.

Yes, but when you get it you'll be so happy you'll forget all about the wait! :D

did you go with the "ultimate" package? That roll around lay back creeper is worth the wait, ask me how I know!

Yes, I got the ultimate package. I decided to get the creeper based on what I read here. And I know I'm being petty, but man! I want that thing here yesterday, not February! lol

I ordered one on on black friday. Other than an online receipt, I didn't get any response from them so I called yesterday. It took three different people to finally get help and then the rep told me it was "in production" and should be ready to ship by mid to late January. Of course when I ordered, there was no mention of a 2 month delay. They just took my (full) payment and sent a receipt.

I did not order the oil drain pan.

Sounds like stellar customer service by BendPak. Hopefully you don't have issues once you get it.

So my maxjax arrived yesterday even though the company told me mid January. It was really well packed in a ~4x6 wood container. The parts were bolted and strapped in the box and there wasn’t any damage. I had it shipped to my local mechanic. He has a big lot and a forklift and he forked it into my pickup. Then I unpacked each piece from the box and used my lift table to move the towers from the truck to the garage floor. My neighbor helped and it took 20 minutes. I have a steep winding driveway so I always send big delivery’s to my mechanic so he can handle them and he’s open 8-5 so I don’t have to wait around all day for a delivery.

The trucking and freight industries currently have some serious issues with a massive backlog. Delays probably stem from this. Totally out of the manufacturers control.

I'm not finished rehabbing my garage so I wasn't in any rush. There was supposed to be a smaller, second package included but the driver said it was never put on the truck. Power pack maybe? I have a call in to BendPak.
