I have been toying with the idea of a mini lathe for a while now...looked at several and during a sleepless night last night I finally ordered one. I went with the Micro-Lux 7 x 14. It is a LITTLE larger than most but still a MINI.. The GREAT thing about it is that is all SAE...no metric conversions needed! THAT was the major selling point for me (a total novie to any type of lathe).I'm so old...I don't do metric conversions that well so the thought of SAE...made me a believer! I ordered a few accessories with it so once it gets here I SHOULD be able to start playing with it the first day. I'll post an update later.
