Honestly, the amount of effort involved in install. That and the fear of dropping tools and chipping the epoxy. I've seen too many vinyl tiles lift from rolling/turning wheels.
I feel pretty confident that the RD tiles will stay put and hold up to jack stands, ramps
and dropped tools. I think epoxy floors look great, but too nice to park a car on, especially for the ammount of work it takes to do it right.

my scissor lift has left some cut marks in my RaceDeck and also dimpled it at the caster end of the lift, that was to be expected as the weight is concentrated at that point. Its nothing bad but its a issue with RaceDeck that I have had several times where heavy items dimpled them, I still love my RaceDeck however and wont have a garage without them.
As a matter of fact, I am moving in a few months and already planning on buying more RaceDeck since the new garage is much bigger. It will also give me a chance to replace a dozen or so tiles that have been heavily damaged over the 5+ years I have had the tiles.

Typically the only heavy objects that are sharp will leave dimples or deep marks ( like cheaper jack stands that are made out of thin angle iron)...

Thanks, I will definitively be contacting you for the damaged tiles.
To be fair and honest though, I don't know how many I will replace. I have probably damaged 12-18 tiles over the years that I want to replace, some from heavy objects that dimpled the tiles and those I will replace. My TIG cart casters are (were) too small and leave dimples, my scissor lift does also at the caster end. But other tiles are from accidents like weld splatter that went beyond the weld blanket I put down and some heavy gouging from sliding a motor on the tiles that had a sharp edge. I also cut some tiles with the casters from my 4-post lift.
I work in this garage and most of the damaged tiles are to be expected and I wont ask those to be replaced, I will just buy those. But when I do the move, I will call and ask for a few replacements (Thanks for the offer) and buy another 100-130 tiles as well since the new garage is bigger. The slab was poured yesterday at my new place, existing garage stays and we are just expending it a little (ok doubling it in size), give me a few weeks and I will call.

Thanks all. I love this new floor, but now I need a good mop and bucket. It gets dirty real fast, but it's worth it. I already did an oil change on it yesterday and it held up very well under my ramps which I thought would easily slide when driving the car onto them but they didn't budge at all.
