Took the plunge and ordered the Craftsman 370 piece set. Main reason I did this is for the sockets. I have a small socket set that I bought years ago and it has worked well...but doesn't get all the jobs done...and I wanted a more complete set....so finally did it! It was 499.00...but I figured what the heck! I think this set has like 245 sockets....so that should have me pretty much covered.

I dont think that you will be dissapointed. I own Craftsman tools and really like them. Snap-on Matco, and Mac , may be prettier, but who cares. I like the QUALITY AT A LOW COST.

Snap-On, Matco and Mac feel better to the hand and are easier to use for 8~10 hours a day, 6 days a week (i.e. they're the right tool for the job for a perfessional mechanic). Some of the pieces are just plain better too.. for instance, I have several brands of screwdrives, sockets, etc ~ and the more commonly available (Sears, Home Depot and Lowes) stuff tends to ****** up a fastener more often than the higher priced stuff (this is just my general observation as a mechanic). The tools I use most, I splurge on. the tools that get little use are skimped on. Works for me... and I have half Craftsman stuff.
