ordering 2-2-2-4

I need to order about 70' of 2-2-2-4 ser cable to wire my sub panel. I have found it and the other wire I need at Home depot but they don't have 70' in stock. I was told about a week ago that it would be in stock in 3 business days but that hasn't happened. I have found it at other places but the shipping is either pretty high or the price per foot is high. Anyone got another good source? I might just have to pay the extra shipping. I can't find it local. At least not just 70'.

any electrical supply house will have this stuff in stock and will cut it.

I have not been able to find it here in town. One place had copper for 7 something a foot. Menards only orders a full roll of way more then I need. I did find it here http://www.wireandcabletogo.com/2-3-4-ground-SER-Aluminum-Building-Wire.html
for a cheaper price per foot but they had about $30.00 shipping. That is where I think I will have to go. Thanks

I needed like 30 feet a few months ago for my garage, Just went to lowes, told the guy 30 feet of the 2-2-2-4 al mobile home feeder, he measured and cut it, and I paid for it and went home...

The nearest Lowes is 140 miles away. I called them and they couldn't find any in the store and wasn't sure they even carried it. I wasn't able to find it on there web site, but that doesn't always mean they don't have it.

Yes I know, Home Depot is where I should of ordered it 2 weeks ago when I started pricing it. Now they only have 40' in stock and not sure when they will get more. I was told a week ago they should have it in 3 business days but that hasn't happen yet. I'm located in Central NE and I want ser cable not MHF. I'm able to stay inside with it. It's a 3rd garage added to my existing garage.

I thought you were talking about your local HD didn't have enough. I was thinking when it's a web only order, the wire came from a central distributor.

I ordered from wire and cable to go and got it in 2 days. I got 2 2 2 4 from menards. the first one didn't sell it by the foot but they looked it up in the computer and about every other menards did.

I've checked with them at Menards a couple times and got the same story. They don't carry it but can order 250' rolls. I'm not confident in their answer because they were not very confident. I am going to order from Wire & cable to go. They are not that much higher then Home depot.

You could get 6/3 copper romex and run a 60 amp sub panel,I'm sure they have that and you would be done allready
