I'm placing the order for the XPR-10 tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone had any words of wisdom before I pull the trigger. The lift comes with the truck adapters, but is there anything else you would recommend I order at the same time?

I'll be picking it up from the trucking depot (in Lafayette, IN) using my 18' trailer and installing it myself. I plan to borrow a fork lift and boom to do the actual installation. I was planning on using the engine hoist to take it off the trailer for now. I won't actually start the installation until after the insulation and drywall are up - maybe 2-3 months from now.

Thanks,
Joe

The columns are bottom heavy, two people can stand them up easily, should not need a forklift, while it comes with the truck adapters i would also get the frame cradle adapters. The safety switch lever will get caught in the padding on the bar across the top, slip a small piece of plastic air line over the switch arm to prevent this from happening. And if space is not an issue , set it wide. Enjoy your new lift! I love mine.

Push them for a free oil drain. They gave me one with my xpr10a. Also ask them for touch up paint. You will probably need it. Oh and be sure when you wire it to use wire rated for 105 degrees c. It was hard to find around town.

I got what looks like the XPR-10A model now. It offers me both symmetrical/asymmetrical configuration. This allows me to open doors fully while on the lift. I like that feature.

I also sprung for the threaded adjustable pads. They are really nice, but I don't see them anymore.
