Hey Folks,

Finally narrowed it down to Challenger CL10V3 and about to place an order. Yes, I did consider other lifts too but the close proximity to Louisville, their factory plant, is a big plus for me.

Though it seems like it is the right 2-post lift for me but would like to know if you guys want me to verify anything with the salesman prior to placing the order?

Thanks

Verify it is in stock. I ordered a CL10 last year and it took over a month to get delivered to East TN. It was alright since I wasn't in a hurry, but I wish they would have told me upfront. They did say if I had ordered a blue lift it would have been 1 week. I ordered mine in December 2015 and it has a January 2016 build date.

Challenger is typically a 4 week wait if the local dealer does not have one in stock.

They were bought by Snap-On some time ago and are also sold under Snap -On

brand... suprisingly price competitive... find your local Snap-On Tool or

equipment dealer and price it out

I gave up on the USA made Challenger. I could deal with the 4 week wait and even when it got stretched out to 8 weeks. But when the delivery got botched and they wanted an additional $500 to deliver it and insisted that their dealer install for another $500, that's when I cancelled the order.

Jack, when you have some time, check out Advantage Lift. We just installed our 4-post and it is "very well made". Seems to be a Backyard Buddy clone.

C2 Turbo, My .02--I bought my CL10V3 almost 4 years ago. (I can't believe it has been that long, seems like yesterday. Just looked at the sticker on the side and it reads "Date Produced 05/2013".) I use it at home to work on my restored Olds 442--that is to say it doesn't get used much compared to one in a shop. That being said, I love the thing. It raises and lowers as smooth as glass and I feel absolutely safe working under my lift. Also, I like supporting American jobs. I used to be in the body shop industry back in the 90's and I had a Challenger 10K that DID get used quite a bit. Same thing---never had a single problem in almost 10 years of service. You will love it and it will last you the rest of your life plus 30 years.
