I'm just wondering, when you guys order a certain tool from your regular SO rep, do they charge you shipping? And if so, how much? I'm wondering as now there is a new SO rep here in my area. I went in and inquired about ordering a scraper set and was shown 2 different sets. As much as I wanted a complete set, I just couldn't justify $30 shipping:eyecrazy:

I don't think anybody pays shipping in the continental US. One guy from Hawaii already chimed in and says no shipping costs either. I would check out the Snap On website and see about the shipping costs to Guam, and if that price is lower than your reps, use that to leverage your rep to get you a better price.

Thanks for the inputs guys, I'll probably try ordering off the website too. Yes, I know there is Snap On here on Guam, that is where I made my inquiry at. He is the current rep on island. We ( Guam ) have not had a rep here since maybe 2008.

If you have a SO rep or reps in Guam, they should be playing by the same rules as drivers in the USA, meaning they should be intitled to be shipped two full tool orders a week free of charge from SO Corporate based upon the many drivers I have talked to.

If you are somehow being charged by your local rep for shipping, call corporate to clairfy and if still being charged by your rep, order online and just pay the Guam sales tax and get free shipping. You;re gonna be charged the sales tax if buying in person anyway, so you have the leverage vs. the rep.

I had a small time rep balking about long wait times on orders I placed and claimed orders had to reach a certain critical mass until SO shipped things to him.
A little detective work on my end debunked that rubbish excuse pretty quickly.

Good luck.
