Made my first Woot order when I saw the gas can deal on the forum here. This was two weeks ago. Still not shipped. Is this the norm for them? I am wondering whether they gather all the orders and hold off til the deal is over, or whatever. I am not worried, just curious, as it has been all this while.

It is typical for shipping to take a few days to a week, though two weeks sounds like a long time. You might contact them and see what is going on. Their customer service is usually pretty good.

Pretty par for the course with Woot!. Also, they've got some Armstrong stuff for cheap at the moment if you're interested...

But yeah, shipping usually takes quite a while from woot most of the time. I've gotten stuff very quickly but others have taken 2+ weeks. Their customer service is usually pretty solid so it wouldn't hurt to contact them to see what's happening just to be sure.

Ok, the Eagle can is on its way. Since I posted this a.m., my wife was told that, yes, sometimes it can be a couple weeks or more from Woot. Said that Woot takes the orders, then sends all the orders to whichever vendor, and it is then out of Woot's hands as to when the stuff actually is shipped.

I wasn't worried, just seemed odd to take so long. But thanks for the replies.

If it is something Woot is holding, it will ship within a couple of days. If it is being drop shipped, it can take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. I ordered something on Wednesday and Thursday last week, and both have already shipped.

It was listed on the ad that the item should be received within 5-8 business days. I bought the oil waste towel can and received it on day 8. I actually contacted woot about when the item should be received and found out it was delivered that day (last friday).

Send an email and they will respond within 24 hours.

Honestly one of my favorite deals on Woot was a TV that I bought. It was a decent enough deal at the purchase price but something got screwed up with the vendor and it didn't ship for 3.5 weeks. Woot gave us each a $20 gift certificate for the trouble.

I just got an email the other day. I don't know when it happened but Woot is now owned by Amazon.com

That happened a year or two ago. Since them I haven't bothered giving them any of my business. Sadly I never won a "Bag of ****" which was was usually a really awesome deal and a handful of buyers of a BOC would get some ridiculous stuff. From huge flat screen TV's to a pallet of car wax...

My Woot order came in tuesday, 1 week with a holiday. Not bad.

How do you find tools on their site? Is there a place to look or do they only have what they send out with the daily list?

They have a 'tools and garden' tab along the top, although sometimes things show up on regular Woot page, the Home Woot page or the Sellout Woot page.

I won 2 Bags of **** back in the day..... they were crappy. :D

Just FYI, I order from Woot a lot (my wife probably thinks too much). If you really need it in a hurry you can try Amazon, sometimes only a few dollars more for the item but shipping can also be higher as well. Some of the things I buy there are impulse buys (just like everyone else) which sometimes I wish I hadn't bought when they arrive, but they are also so cheap that I don't beat myself up about it.

You might also try this one. www.1saleaday.com

Similar to Woot and has some pretty good deals. I think the quality of the items on Woot are actually better however based on my experience.

I did manage a BOC once. Never tried again, but I keep running across stuff that was in that box. I have used the Sansa Thumb MP3 player a lot, but gave away a bunch of computer cameras, and other stuff.
