Ordering tool catalogs

Looking for companies who send out free catalogs.

So far I have Matco, Wright, S-K (on the way)

I had a Proto but it walked off from a toolbox I sold.

Any others?

Snap-on Industrial (Williams, Bahco, CDI), Knipex, Wiha, Gearwrench.

I emailed each and had a catalog within a couple of weeks.

Just checked Starrett . All I see is free downloads. I remember the tap / drill charts years ago but haven't seen one in a long time. Just got used to searching the Web for everything I need.

A "free" tool catalog could become a rather expensive "free" catalog in short order.
Even browsing the online catalogs are dangerous.
Don't ask me how I know this, just trust me on this.

most company's are getting away from catalogs, Online is much cheaper and easier to fix mistakes, change prices and so on.

Browsing on-line shouldn't be a problem if they keep their servers secure. I would assume a company like Starrett would be safe.

I could sit and look at the catalogs for hours, but they always end up getting buried in a pile. The Web provides the advantage of always easy to find and up to date.

Sometimes a paper catalog is a lot easier to look through than a website. Starrett will send out free charts and catalogs on request. Use their contact form.

You can order a snap on paper on their website. They sent it out in a giant box that will hold about 25 of them for some reason.

Always ask for the free catalog. It helps to keep printers working.

I always enjoyed going through the lawsons and acklands grainger catalogs. The big ones 1000 page plus. Could spend hours and hours on each. Their prices are outrageous. Just find everything you like and order elsewhere.
Supercat is right. If i had the $$ id order 1 of everything from each catalog.

Of course their prices are outrageous, they have to pay for that "free" phonebook sized catalog! lol

Im the same way i like looking at them too, i also find the paper catalog easier than online because you can flip the pages quick if you dont know the name of what you are looking for as opposed to online catalogs you kinda need to know the specific name otherwise you just get frustrated trying to find something specific whachmacallit

Trick-Tools will send out a free catalog. They have some nifty looking fabrication stuff.

Carlyle has a nice one..just go on their website and request one...no pricing tho..have to go on the NAPA website and pick a store for that.

Thanks to all, put a recliner in the garage and need some reading material. Catalogs are easier to look through for me and make a great conversation piece starter.

Regarding the price, when I worked at fastenal, we couldn't give them to anyone doing less than 10k a month. I think we could order them in for $30, but even that was discouraged.

If you go to a show like EASTEC you can normally pick up catalogs and other material like tap and drill plus other charts.
