All my local store clearance racks get picked over pretty quick. As much as I wanted the impact sets, I didn't want to pay for the shipping on them. So I just got the breaker bar sent to the store. I keep one in each car with the correct lug sized socket since the OEM ones seem to ****.

While on vacation I think I found the last clearance breaker bar in the nation. It was hiding out in Negaunee Michigan.

Looks like they have a 1/4" air ratchet for just under $7.

i bought a performance tool 1/4" air ratchet on clearance about a month ago. i love that thing. not super powerful but that was perfect for doing an oil pan and valve covers, along with hose clamps and body panels.

Picked one up yesterday. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. For $7.07 after tax couldn't pass it up.

Just grabbed one at 4.70, after many of the stores had them at $60-$70. Then they all mysteriously vanished.

The key thing is to keep changing the store location and then re-searching. The prices are specific to each store, as well as the clearance stock. So keep looking around to see if one specific store has one on clearance.

For anyone in Denver, CO, apparently the store on Colfax still has one left.

Anyone get a mechanics brand tool, rather than PT? Owned by the same parent company, but wasn't sure at the store.

So the breakers are down to $3.47 and somehow 2 more appeared in my store.

I also got this 3 pack of magnetic reflectors which I think might be useful given the cost of conspicuity tape. It's on the receipt as TOT 21AUT24005RED. It was $4.87 and looks like regular price may have been $6.99 so not an amazing deal.

Got my breaker bar for $3.47 as well. Made in Taiwan, and looks pretty good for the price. Thanks for letting me know for this great deal. Now need to get some free points from Sears for the socket, and I can place this set in the car to crack open lug nuts.

I did that also, now I've got a socket and breaker bar in my Marauder and Crown Vic that cost less than six bucks total.

I couldn't pass up the swivel impact sockets either.

Does anyone know who makes them?
They are sold under an OReilly house brand, and are marked as made in Taiwan. Neither helps identify them.

The swivel drive is a pinless hex wobble, much like a large ball-end hex wrench that fits into a hex recess on the socket. It's held into the upper end of the socket with a thick retaining ring. A spring takes out the slop, and pushes the wobble edges into the retaining ring. Even before I've used a socket, bright metal wear is showing at the edges where they rub against the ring.

These are clearly not premium sockets in construction or finish.

In the metric set, all but the largest (17mm) uses the same size starting blank. Only the end taper and broach differs. Because the blank isn't specific to the socket size, all are thick wall. The smallest, 10mm, is quite thick. It's unlikely to split, but it's probably not going to fit into any recess.

They are pretty rough right now. There are deep machining grooves on the wobble section. Hopefully they will wear smooth before they wear out.

I picked up three of the breaker bars the other day. The ast. Manager first tried to tell me they were discontinued and couldn't be ordered. I pushed him to look and then he found hundreds in a warehouse.

Yet another breaker appeared on the floor of my store. Still $3.47. Grabbed it for a trailer tongue box.

Cell phone's post makes me think the O'Reilly mother ship is still funneling the breakers to stores as they sell out.

It's just weird, I buy out my local store and couple weeks later they've got more breakers. Twice now. And my store at least is not putting them in the clearance section, they just hang them with the other tools, always on the wrong hook. But they're easy to spot, just look for the 17" description and/or part number ending in 51
