I've seen a lot worse. I am not certain that you have enough space to get them all organized appropriately. I think it was the first one where you had a lot of long wrenches right in the middle and I was trying to decide if that would have worked better if the wrenches were were off entirely to one side.

I have a lot of different specific organizing brands different for ratchets and screwdrivers..

Some of my screwdrivers I have all sitting nice side by side, thank you and some of them I have partitions set up where maybe I have to dig through this screwdrivers to get to what I want. And some of the screwdrivers I have literally hanging or I can grab them individually. That of course implies that you're going to pull some of those out of your box.

There are numerous organization threads already here that have hundreds and hundreds of responses in photographs. There is one of them that is continually updated and you could probably find by scrolling through the first couple three to four pages of free parking. Use the search function and you'll get more information than you will ever get right here in your own individual thread.

I don’t understand this thread. What are we looking at? is this a top box? Will this go on a bench top? I see an empty drawer with a hand saw? What is the purpose of this box?

Do you have metric and SAE in the same box? For me, all my cars are 100% metric. Heavy equipment, lawn equipment is 90% SAE. So I have 2 different boxes. The gloves I see look like they are for digging ditches. In fact, I dug a ditch last weekend and didn’t wear gloves like that. I have a glove box holder on the side of my mechanic boxes with 7mil nitrile gloves from HF. Start there.

Next, get your sockets in order. How many sets of 1/2” chrome do you have? Whats with all the 12pts?

In my box(es) I have sockets, ratchets, and extensions in the top drawer. In my KRL, I have impacts in a seperate drawer with my battery gun, impact extensions etc.

Next drawer is wrenches, then screwdrivers of various sorts, then pliers.

In arrangements like yours, I typically see people using the underside of the lid to store ratchets and sometimes extensions. Some will even have a set of combination wrenches there. Just food for thought.

In general I’d say, until you have some sense for what specific tasks that box supports, it’s organization is purely personal preference. I think you will find, for auto techs, pros or wanna bes like me, their boxes gravitate to pretty standardized layouts, similar to that which I described above.

I would say get a bigger toolbox or if you have room on your wall maybe some wall mounted tool organization.
