Organizing wrenches in drawers

Hey guys,

So at the moment my wrenches hang on my peg board. I have multiples of each size so that on each peg hang 3 or 4. I really like this setup as I can always go to that peg and be sure to get what I need, plus if I need two (one for nut and bolt) I can just grab em straight off the peg.

But I'm looking to get anotoher tool box and possibly move the wrneches into the drawers. Anyone have any trick ways for doing the same thing, but in a drawer? I don't want to set them up in wrench wracks with 1 size per slot, I wnat soemthing that they stack on top of each other, but stay organized? I've thought about it and think I'm going to have to make some crazy rack/peg system with dividers, and probably be more hassle than it's worth, but just thought I'd check and see if anyone has anything cool, similar to this.

Thanks in advance,

Hmm interesting..I use the snap on where they kinda lay at an angle for snap on and craftsman professional but am also plagued with multiples (was organizing craftsman rp's today and found like 5 5/8! Maybe pegboard with long bolts coming up from the bottom? If worried about scratching could slip tubing over the bolts

I have not seen these other than online but they look like something that you could make. You could stack the same size wrenches this way.

yeah, I'm thinking one peg for the box to slide over and two more to bracket the handle part of the wrench like the pic that Always_Thinkin posted. Trying to use a single peg for the open end will only work if all your wrenches are the same brand/length. Maybe plywood with holes drilled for hardwood dowels, or if you have access to metal rod and a press you could get fancier.

Yeah that's sorta what I was thinkin, thanks.

I was thinking using a piece of U channel to contain the wrenches, but I like that idea of using the divider between the wrenches to keep them aligned.

I work at a sign shop so have tonnes of aluminum offcuts so thinking I could fab something similar. That one in the pic sure does look purty though!

I used to use wrench racks till I started getting multiple wrenches.
Now I have them in foam stacked on one another. Takes less room and all are stacked with 2,3, or 4 wrenches

Foam mats, cut to fit, as deep as you want(drawer allowing).
