Original Color Chips

Found this site awhile back. Haven't tried it. Anyone used or heard of it?

If I am not mistaken, they resell Devoe products under their name. I think that is how I found information on Devoe epoxy products, which can be bought at ICI paint stores locally.

Looking at their product data sheet they have 43% solids. So their 2 gallon kit over 500 square feet (assuming you wring every drop out of the can and brush) will end up about 2.75 mil thick. About as thick as a sheet of copy paper.

Keep in mind that generally speaking a cured 1 mil of a solvent based epoxy is not going to be as durable and 1 mil of solid epoxy. This is because the solvent based epoxy is riddled with microscopic hollow tubes, essentially trails left by the solvents as they migrated to the surface during curing.

Their urethane clear coat is only 53% solids, that also according to their data sheet.

Its amazing the range in epoxy..... When you figure a one sheet of cpy paper is 4 mil thick.....
