Hi all - do I need to leave 1/8 inch gap between sheets to account for expansion? If so, can I just caulk those before I paint?

This will be 7/16 OSB FYI

thanks

I primed and painted before installing on my ceiling. I butted mine as tight as possible. 5 years no movement, no caulking used, no issues. Just touched the screw heads with same colour after I installed. Perfect!

You might consider painting the sheets before you install them. Painting panels sitting on horses is easier, in my opinion, than painting them overhead.

I painted mine first and butted as close as possible and finished the seams with finish 1x2 and painted it white
