Bought a new trailer and want to seal the osb walls and floor. Whats the best product to seal it with? Want a clear

Why clear?
I'd use paint to match the rest of the trailer. A light color will reflect more light and give you better visibility.

Otherwise, any water based clear will work.

Personally....I'd give it 30 days in the heat to let most of the out gassing take place.

Use an oil based sealer on OSB.

Water based products (latex) can cause separation of the panels.

Scout troop? You don't want clear. I bought a trailer for my boys' troop about 8-9 years ago, they still have it and the interior was all done in clear finish. Now the interior is all 'dirt' finish. I'd use a gray or tan epoxy, something that is very washable and hides the dirt. Ask the committee if they're the ones that are going to clean it after every rain-soaked camporee and summer camp event. Troop trailers are mud central.

Use the best coating you can afford, you'll be glad you did as time passes. An enclosed trailer isn't the best place to use coatings with an after odor/fumes, but a water based coating over OSB may not be the best choice either. I've experienced problems with some types/brands of OSB that didn't care for moisture, or the smell from the glue was sickening.

As others have mentioned, use an oil based primer first, then paint with something that will take the beating that it's gonna get from the troops.

OSB on the floor? IMHO bad idea, replace with 3/4 ply if possible. You can coat the top, good luck with the underside left raw.

Would love to coat with a nice paint. Now the committee wants marine varnish. If mine I would paint walls and put linoleum on floor. The haulmark father in law has is white marlite on sides and marble pattern linoleum on floor. I think its called marlite

Is it regular OSB or that high performance type? I've read of sealers and even truck bed liner peeling off of the latter.

Could be due to insufficient off gassing as a previous poster mentioned.

I've seen new trailers with the stuff and while it looks like OSB it still looks different.

How do you tell the difference? Im doing something tomorrow and leave it open for couple days with a fan blowing through Going to the street machine nationals saturday and they are taking it sunday. Have to do whatever I decide tomorrow

Cross is the brand. Floor is 3/4" is about all I know

Might be Rainblock or Drymax. Searching on my phone which isn't ideal.

I'd also recommend searching snowmobile forums for ideas on sealing trailer floors.
