OSB Trim work

Hi everyone, new to the forum and new garage owner

The build was start this Sept. and I'll post some pics ASAP

The garage is 20x28, 9 foot ceilings and is insulated. I finished the interior with OSB, primed and painted.

My next step I would like to add some trim to the ceiling and maybe the corners

Any ideas? or picture of what some have done?

Keep it simple. I used pine interior trim in my shop. I used left over T116 T&G siding for base boards. Ripped the tongues off the top side and painted to match the walls.

If you have a table saw you can make a triangular piece for the corners. You can also make a cove molding on a table saw. Look for that on YouTube. For the perimeter at the ceiling you have to decide on the corners first in order to see how the ceiling molding will intersect the corners. Some crowns will work, some won't. You can run a detail on the edge of a 1 x 2 and run that flat against the wall all around.

Really, your imagination is your only restriction. I looked up a Google using, "garage interior trim molding." There isn't much other than traditional Colonial style trim. But there was this if you like something different. Never mind the color.

The last thing I like to see at the top of walls is base shoe. Reminds me of awful paneling popular in the 50's a 60's.

I am doing mine now in plywood. I have the kreg rip cut jig for my skill saw and have been ripping 2, 3, and 4 inch strips for baseboard, window casings and other trim pieces. Once caulked and painted it looks good, very inexpensive and durable.

For some low cost decent stuff, Home Depot has 3/4" MDF pretty cheap. Rip it to whatever width you want. Even use it for window sills or whatever. Paints up real nice and is real stable.

Its just 1x4 around the windows and a 1x8 on the floor

I'm using osb itself for trim ( crown mouldings) just to cover gaps around the top and around the doors.. I'm going to use large quarter round in the building corners as there is not much gap. Around the windows and man door I'm going to use some nice 1x4.
