I have always bought cheep Menards house brand oscillating saw blades. They work ok but I am doing some cutting on wood that has hidden nails in it. These blades are pretty much done as soon as you hit a nail with them. Are the better blades able to withstand hitting a nail or do they go tootless too? Any recomendations? Thanks

I have had luck with DeWalt and Milwaukee OMT blades meant for nail embedded wood. The short stroke of an OMT does mean they are not lifetime use, and depending on how much room you have to work they may only last a cut or two so buy a multi pack. I used a Milwaukee one last night as a last ditch effort to get a stripped screw out of a metal box holding the receptacle in. Someone before me buggered up the screw and I was able to slip the blade in between the box and the receptacle and buzz the head off. Blade was no worse for wear but I had room to slide the blade side to side so I was cutting with more than a few teeth.
